WHAT IS THE ECLECTIC APPROACH ABOUT?

It is about the correct selection of techniques and novels for meaningfull learning.

Eclecticism is an approach (a way of looking at teaching) where educators use methods and techniques to improve their practice.  With this perspective, teachers critically apply methods that could fit their students' needs. And through their application and analysis, they identify the drawbacks of each method so they can avoid them and enhance the advantages.

Moreover, the eclectic approach allows language skills integration making it easier for students to produce the language (speaking and writing). It is a guide for teachers to work with their methods in the best way.

educational ideals (learner-centered, teacher as a guide, active methodologies, and so on) could be possible with an eclectic view.
