Eclectic approach application

Material and guidelines for the application of this approach needs to be improved and clarified. However, different authors provided strong bases to develop a guide for planning with this approach. You can find different sources and articles as well as a lesson plan formaton on the files section .

Consider the following clues for its use:

• The guide is builded with the use of three different methods (CBI, SIOP & Natural way). However, you can adapt it according to your students' needs and characteristics.

• As an approach, eclecticism could not be applied in just one lesson or one hour class. This guideline is projected to be applied in one term or period. You should adapt each stage for the number of lessons you need.

• No more than three methods are recommended for the eclectic approach application. Otherwise it could be more and more difficult to plan and push them into their limits.

• You can change the methods applied. You should consider roots, features, drawbacks and disadvantages for that. Also the planing structure should change as you should link your new method characteristics with those of the other methods.
